In Aegean Airlines we constantly invest in new and sophisticated aircraft as well as on control systems, technical support and training of our staff. By early 2016, important investments were made in the purchase of 7 new Airbus A320’s, reaching in total the number of 61 aircraft. Our goal is to continue investing in our fleet, and to enhance one of our main competitive advantages – the low average age of our aircraft. Our fleet undergoes meticulous day-by-day maintenance to our modern facilities by our airport technical crew, consisting of engineers, aircraft construction specialists and mechanics. Every aircraft in Aegean’s fleet is equipped with the latest and most sophisticated safety systems, including the ACAS II (Airborne Collision Avoidance System), the EGPWS (Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System) and the DFGS (Digital Navigation System). Also, in Aegean we care about the environment and make constant upgrades in order to reduce noise, emissions, and fuel consumption. Aegean fleet consists of 38 AIRBUS A320, 8 AIRBUS A321, 1 AIRBUS A319, 4 Dash 8-100, 10 Dash8-Q400.
